Vermont’s climate story is big, technical, and easy to lose people in. The 2025 Vermont Climate Action Plan and its companion Resilience Implementation Strategy needed to reach every Vermonter who cares about the state’s climate goals.
Working closely with Vermont Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) Climate Action Office The Image Farm shaped both documents into something people would actually read. Our team led plain-language and copy editing across the CAP and RIS and wrote original climate action stories that help Vermonters see themselves in the state’s climate solutions, and curated a photo library — pairing new photoshoots with existing state assets — to ground the plans in real places and people.
On the design side, we built a consistent visual system with clear infographics and navigation, custom icon sets, rich photography, callouts, and story features. We also cerated slide deck and handout templates for ANR’s ongoing public and stakeholder outreach. Chapters of the Climate Action Plan were designed so that they could be extracted as standalone documents when working with specific services and industries. We delivered fully accessible PDFs that meet federal Plain Language Act standards and that are 508-compliant.
